Flower Delivery Australia
Planning successful delivery of flowers in Australia should involve these checks:
- Is this a peak time for flower deliveries in Australia?
Be careful placing orders during peak periods, such as Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Christmas. Most companies suggest placing your order 2 days early for these periods.
- Will the recipient be home?
Many companies will not leave the flowers at an empty residence. They may leave a calling card for the recipient to arrange a more suitable time, if they decide it is not safe and secure enough to leave the flowers. Remember, you can usually deliver them to a hospital, or workplace, if you can give specific enough information. You should try to leave a contact phone number for both you and the recipient. Most flower delivery companies in Australia aim to deliver to the workplace before 5pm, or to a residence by 7pm.
- What will the flowers be put in?
I'll never forget the delivery of 12 long-stemmed roses one day at work on my anniversary. I opened them, and had nowhere to put them. We ended up having to wash out a garbage bin to put them in. Not all flower companies will deliver vases. Why not ring ahead, and make sure a friend has a vase for a bouquet/bunch delivery. At least arrangements are usually self-supporting. (PS: ROSES-ONLY do deliver vases).
- How will the flowers come home?
Does the recipient have to carry them home on public transport? Go all the way, and offer to pick him/her up after work.
- Where do funeral flowers get delivered?
EASYFLOWERS has some good tips on choosing the correct flower delivery, particularly in regard to flower types at funerals.
