Many local flower shops have their own websites, however the most well-known online florists are actually floral networks who have made arrangements with local flower shops to ensure they can deliver flowers almost anywhere across Australia.
So how do you decide which online flower shop to use?
It depends upon what's most important to you - delivery cost, delivery times, order cutoff time, customer service, whether they're open on Saturday and Sunday, how easy the website is to use, or maybe the cost of a dozen boxed long-stemmed red roses - because we know you're a romantic.

The objective was to order a box of 12 long-stemmed red roses. In some instances it was not possible to order this exactly, or additional chocolates were included.
Delivery cost is any additional charge above the quoted flower prices for delivery to major cities and regional areas. It appears normal that outlying hard-to-reach areas may incur an additional cost.
Whether delivery on Saturday and Sunday was possible. In most cases, Saturday delivery was standard, with a few shops delivering on Sunday for Mothers Day or Valentines Day.
Most sites offer same day delivery, if the order is placed by a certain time. Cutoff time varied from noon to 3pm on weekdays.
Websites were rated on usability, ease of selection, easy to find delivery information including cutoff times and costs, and professional appearance.
Some sites offered vases as part of an arrangement. Some offered them for sale as an additional item during checkout. Others would require contacting the company directly.
Emails were sent on a Sunday evening, enquiring about delivery information such as weekends, vases, sachets of preservatives. Most shops started checking their emails around 08:30 - 09:00 am Monday morning. The timestamp on the email response is recorded.
